Known as the "Surfing Capital of the Philippines", many Siargao tour packages include other activities other than surfing alone.
Here is a list of activities and experiences that you can try out in between surf sessions, or perhaps engage yourself with every other chance of visit:
• Swim with Stingless Jellyfishes
In Suhoton cave, it is possible to swim with a cloud of jellyfishes without the fear of being stung by them. As this is the only other place in the world other than the Pacific Island of Palau where these friendly sea creatures are found, it will truly be an amazing and unforgettable experience.
• 3 Island Tour
Island hopping going around Daku, Guyam, and the Naked Island is also a great way explore Siargao. Though Siargao resorts are also all around the borders, guests would save a lot from bringing their own food or snack to complete that island experience. Each island is best explored with the feel of the sand on your bare foot. There's the Naked Island where you won’t find any single tree, house, or anything at all. Just plain sand, just the island, you and the scorching heat of the sun; the Daku Island, simply named because it is the biggest (“daku”) of all three islands; and the Guyam Island with physical features resembles craters of the moon.
• Standup Paddleboarding
For a price ranging from 500-750 per trip, stand up paddleboarding is a great way of exercising while scanning the view of the ocean. Stand up paddle boarding is fast becoming a popular sport, and in the Philippines, Siargao is one of the very few places who offer an opportunity to learn the sport.
• Cloud 9 SURF-Photos and Movies
For a perfect souvenir to remember your time at Cloud 9, you won’t have to worry about who is going to miss the waves to take the photos. Kyron (just ask for his name there) does a fantastic job of filming and editing. Get an epic facebook profile shot or star in your own action surf film that’s worth a hundred likes, or more.
• Flying Fox Restaurant
This restaurant, along with the best food in the island, has one little dark secret that makes guests keep coming back again and again. It is yet famous for the unusual and yet everyday aerial display of prehistoric like flying critters, which are actually fruit bats making their way out of their nests. The view is utterly spectacular.
• Watching the sunrise
Many of Siargao accommodations will let you experience the best sunrise. But if you'd like, you can watch it by the bay, feeling the sand of the beaches by your bare feet.
At Siargao Business Directory, other fun activities other than its already known surfing waves and tons of beautiful perspectives can also be discovered. #
